research and planning: double page spread research

These double page spreads are examples of Q+A sessions between the artist and interviewer. This is a good way to interview because it is easy to get the information that you want by asking the artist a direct question. The layout is usually the question in one colour and then the answer underneath in a different colour.

These are both examples of writing about an artist and just including quotes from them. This is a good way to get a lot of information in about the artist and add quotes from them to back up the facts. The layout usually includes a large title and picture and then paragraphed writing.
This is an example of diary entries stating particular things that the artist is getting up to. This can be written by them or by the writer of the article who will usually be with the artist following their movements. This is usually in the layout of one colour for the date and another colour for the entry. It could also include pictures of the artist whilst doing some of the things in the entries.
